We all know a skinny, elegant woman. The Audrey Hepburn type. What are the refined and healthy secrets that keep her that way?
Well I’ll tell you because I have a few great role models that I’ve studied very carefully. I am trying so hard to use these secrets. They don’t come naturally to me. I’m a natural born gobbler, but I’m happy to say I’m making progress. If I can do it, anyone can!
Heres the challenge: For the next few weeks make believe you are an actress playing the role of Audrey Hepburn as a french woman in a cafe in Paris. Bonjour! Eat as described below and reap the benefits; faster metabolism, better digestion, and weightloss to name a few.
- Eat meals. Eat them sitting down at an elegantly set table with a fork, knife, napkin and placemat or charger. Get fancy!
-Drink pure refreshing water. A lot. Make sure it’s before the meal. No slurping!
-Breathe, relax and eat slowly. Put your fork and knife down in between bites. I know, that’s a tough one! Enjoy the tastes, smells, colors and textures of the food.
- Chew and enjoy every bite of food. Mmmm delicieux!
-Eat a bite or two of dessert, occasionally. Get as much pleasure from those two bites as possible and you won’t need more. Dramatically close your eyes and savor the flavor.
-Stop eating when you are full, way before the “blub” feeling.
Tres Bien!! The reason that these are such great habits is because of the good old relaxation response that comes from these practices. Relaxation and pleasure are totally AMAZING for digestion and metabolism, and especially weightloss. It’s all about chemistry. Try it!!
